Amy Stott

Centre Director

Amy grew up in the city of Dundee in Scotland. She moved down to Newham in 2011 to take part in a gap year programme with Careforce and was placed in St Luke's Church Canning town to help run youth ministry and outreach projects. Although she originally intended to only spend a year away from home, Amy felt called to staying and supporting the young people in Canning Town. She enrolled on a postgraduate diploma course in Youth Work & Ministry with Oasis College and joined the Newham YFC team when she graduated in August 2013.

As part of her role as Centre Director, Amy runs the youth ministry at St Luke's Church, Canning Town.

In her first 3 years at Newham YFC Amy ran all of the Newham YFC projects seeing young people form across Newham introduced to Jesus and growing in their walk with him. An extension of our Youth Works Network provision also saw more youth workers resourced for their ministries too. Alongside taking on the existing projects in 2013 Amy also launched and pioneered Leadership Academy, Breathe and Big Questions reflecting her desire to see young people equipped and resourced to live for Jesus today.

As of September 2016 Amy is now the Centre Director of Newham YFC and she's excited to see where God will lead Newham YFC into in this new chapter.

Away from Newham YFC, Amy runs the youth ministry at St Luke's Church in Canning Town and is also training towards ordination in the Church of Engalnd studying at St Mellitus College in London.

Outside of work, Amy is a huge sports fan and follows football, rugby, golf and tennis. She's also a keen musician and loves helping to lead people in worship.
